Introduction

Hello everyone. Welcome to the biggest project ever conceived by my tiny human brain. I’m exhausted. This picture has taken a lot out of me. I’d planned on doing something like this for a long time, but until now, it had never come to fruition.
Forgive me everyone, this will be a very long comment. I’ll keep it as brief as I possibly can.

Process

This is 100% digital. I did everything in photoshop. EVERYTHING.
I knew I wanted it in a block format, so I squared off spaces I wanted each character to fit in and started sketching. I did waist-up sketches with alternating directions and different poses. I wanted each one to be as different as my skills allowed so you wouldn’t be too bored looking at them.
As best as I was able, I copied the styles for the fandoms each OC comes from for the lineart. Except for shoulders because that’s part of my style. As far as coloring goes, the eyes are pretty much the only thing that matches the style of their fandom. The rest of it is my personal coloring style. Even then, though, I took liberties with the eyes.
I’ll talk about my choice of backgrounds when I get to the characters.
I’m not completely satisfied with it, to be honest, but I worked really hard and spent a lot of time fixing the lineart and matching styles. This definitely proves that I still have a long way to go, but I’ll keep moving forward and trying my best.
I was at odds with Sakura. I could’ve done her human form, her mermaid form, her idol form, or her super idol form. I should’ve done mermaid, since that’s her natural form, but I ended up going with idol. Oops.
